Research Interests

The enhancement of carcinogenesis by oncogenic viral-chemical carcinogen interactions, and the application of oncogenic viruses, v-onc, and c-onc genes to cancer.

Student Involvement/Requirements

I will train two to four undergraduate students in my lab.  They primarily work with me on their projects.  I begin taking undergraduates in their junior and senior years that have had some microbiology classes. Virology is preferred, but not required.  The work is publication oriented and undergraduates do appear on the publications.  The research is funded by the university as well as private foundation funds.  Students must commit to at least a year in the lab.
