Education
Dr. Schaalje received his Ph.D in Statistics in 1988 at North Carolina State, his M.S. in Biostatistics in 1981 at the University of Washington, his M.S. in Zoology in 1979 from Brigham Young University, and his B.S. in Mathematics in 1977 from Brigham Young University. He has also filled various roles as a members of the American Statistics Association and in the Biometrics Society.
Research Interests
Dr. Schaalje's current and past research interests include insect population modeling, sampling, mixed linear models, and applications of statistics in biological and health sciences.
Student Involvement
He currently has three graduate students and one undergraduate honors student working with him in his laboratory.
